Load & Move Overview

Introduction

The Load & Move module helps you manage warehouse operations by moving products to locations and handling blocked bins. This feature has two main sections: PUT AWAY for moving products to specific locations, and BLOCKED BIN for managing and relocating bins that are blocked or need to be moved.

This module uses a tab-based interface that lets you switch between Put Away and Blocked Bin operations quickly.

Why Use Load & Move?

Organize inventory

Move products to the correct locations in your warehouse. This keeps inventory organized and easy to find.

Handle blocked bins

Manage bins that are blocked or need relocation. Get a list of blocked bins from the server and process them efficiently.

Two workflows in one

Access both Put Away and Blocked Bin operations from a single screen. Switch between tabs to work on different tasks.

Integrated scanning

Use a Bluetooth scanner or the device camera to scan bins, locations, tags, SKUs, UPCs, or product IDs instead of typing manually.

How to Access Load & Move

  1. Open the main menu

    From the app’s home screen, tap the menu button to open the main menu.

  2. Select Load & Move

    In the main menu, find and tap Load & Move (ID 14). The Load & Move screen opens with two tabs at the top.

  3. Choose your workflow

    You’ll see two tabs:

    • PUT AWAY: For moving products to locations
    • BLOCKED BIN: For managing blocked bins

    Tap the tab you want to use. The screen updates to show the selected workflow.

PUT AWAY Tab

The PUT AWAY tab lets you search for locations, bins, or LPNs and move products to those locations. You can:

  • Search by location, bin, or LPN
  • Filter by product categories
  • View a list of locations ready for put away
  • Move products to specific locations

This section helps organize inventory by placing products in their correct warehouse locations.

BLOCKED BIN Tab

The BLOCKED BIN tab helps you manage bins that are blocked or need relocation. You can:

  • Get a list of blocked bins from the server
  • View blocked bins stored locally
  • Start processing blocked bins
  • Reset the blocked bin list when needed

This section ensures blocked bins are handled correctly and moved to appropriate locations.

The Load & Move screen includes:

  • Back button: Tap the back arrow (←) in the top-left corner to return to the main menu
  • Tab navigation: Tap PUT AWAY or BLOCKED BIN to switch between workflows
  • Hardware back button: Press the device’s back button to return to the main menu

Use scanning

Scan bins, locations, tags, SKUs, UPCs, or product IDs instead of typing. This is faster and reduces errors.

Check network connection

Make sure you have internet access when getting blocked bins from the server. The app checks your connection automatically.

Complete workflows

Finish processing all items in a list before resetting. This keeps your data accurate and prevents lost work.

Verify locations

Double-check location codes before moving products or bins. This prevents products from going to the wrong place.
