Keep settings accurate
Double-check your warehouse name and key before saving. Incorrect settings prevent the app from connecting.
The Settings in Shipedge Warehouse Pro let you configure your warehouse connection and preferences. Settings are stored locally on your device and control how the app connects to your warehouse server and behaves during operations.
Most settings are configured during initial setup, but you can change them if needed. Proper settings ensure the app connects correctly to your warehouse and works as expected.
Settings appear automatically in two situations:
First-time setup: When you open the app for the first time, a settings window appears asking for warehouse information.
No settings found: If the app can’t find saved settings, it shows the settings window again.
You cannot skip the settings window on first use - you must enter warehouse information to continue.
The main settings window lets you configure your warehouse connection:
Field: “Enter name of warehouse”
Purpose: Your warehouse identifier. This must match your warehouse name in the Shipedge system.
Example: If your warehouse URL is https://mywarehouse.shipedge.com, enter mywarehouse.
Important: The warehouse name is case-sensitive. Enter it exactly as it appears in your Shipedge account.
Field: “Enter key of warehouse”
Purpose: Security key that authenticates your device with the warehouse server.
Where to find: Your warehouse administrator provides this key. It’s unique to your warehouse.
Auto-fill: If you’ve configured this warehouse before on the same device, the app may auto-fill the key when you enter the warehouse name.
Option: “External order# (integration required)”
Choices:
Purpose: Controls whether the app uses external order numbers from integrated systems. Only enable this if your warehouse uses external order number integration.
When to use: Enable this if your warehouse integrates with external systems (like e-commerce platforms) that use their own order numbers.
Open the app
Tap the Shipedge Warehouse Pro icon. If this is your first time, the settings window appears automatically.
Enter warehouse name
Type your warehouse name in the “Enter name of warehouse” field. Make sure it matches your warehouse name exactly.
Enter warehouse key
Type your warehouse key in the “Enter key of warehouse” field. If you’ve used this warehouse before, the key may auto-fill.
Choose external order setting
Select Yes or No for external order number integration. Most users should select No unless specifically told otherwise.
Save settings
Tap Proceed to save your settings. The app verifies your warehouse information with the server.
Wait for verification
You’ll see “Verifying warehouse” while the app checks your settings. This may take a few seconds.
Start using the app
Once verified, you can log in and start using the app.
The settings window has three buttons:
Signup: Opens the Shipedge signup page in your browser. Use this if you need to create a new warehouse account.
Cancel: Closes the settings window. If you haven’t configured settings before, a message appears saying “The first time should insert name of warehouse” and you must configure settings to continue.
Proceed: Saves your settings and verifies them with the server. This button is enabled after you enter the warehouse name.
The app stores these settings in a local database:

These preferences are separate from warehouse settings and don’t affect your warehouse connection.
After you save settings, the app verifies them by:
https://[warehouse].shipedge.comIf verification fails, you’ll see an error message:
Double-check your warehouse name and key before saving. Incorrect settings prevent the app from connecting.
If you don’t know your warehouse key, contact your warehouse administrator. They can provide the correct key.
Most users should leave external order integration set to “No” unless specifically required for integrations.
Before clearing app data to change settings, make sure you’ve synced important work to the server.
