Understand your permissions
Know which modules you can access. If you need access to a module, contact your administrator.
User Preferences in Shipedge Warehouse Pro control how the app behaves for your account. Some preferences come from the server based on your user account and permissions, while others are stored locally on your device to remember your selections.
Most preferences are set automatically and don’t require manual configuration. The app remembers your choices and applies them to make your work faster and easier.
There are two types of preferences in the app:
These preferences come from the Shipedge server when you log in. They’re based on your user account, warehouse configuration, and permissions. You cannot change these directly in the app - they’re controlled by your warehouse administrator.
These preferences are stored on your device and remember your selections within specific modules. The app saves them automatically when you make choices, so you don’t need to configure them manually.
These preferences are set by your warehouse administrator and come from the server:
Double Pick: Controls whether you can pick items twice in a single order. Set to “yes” or “no” by your administrator.
Pick Route: Determines how picking routes work:
This affects how the Picking module organizes your picking tasks.
Tray: Controls whether Quality Control uses tray numbers:
This setting comes from the warehouse configuration and affects how QC operations work.
Capacity: Capacity setting for operations. Set by your warehouse administrator.
Activity List: List of modules you can access. Your administrator controls which modules are available to your account.
Available modules include:
Recount: Controls recount behavior in Cycle Count. Set to “1” (enabled) or other values by your administrator.
Batch Serial: Controls whether serial numbers are processed in batches. Default is true.
These preferences are stored on your device and remember your choices:
Category Selection: The app remembers if you’ve selected product categories before in the Put Away module. This preference (click_cat) helps streamline the category selection process.
New Load Status: Tracks whether you’re working on a new load in the Put Away module. This helps the app know when to refresh data.
Local preferences are saved automatically when you:
You don’t need to manually set these - the app handles them automatically.
