Wall Module Overview

The Wall module lets you share photos and comments with your team. You can take photos with your device camera or select photos from your gallery, add comments, and post them to warehouse or customer account walls. This feature helps teams communicate visually and share updates about warehouse operations.

The Wall works like an internal social feed where you can post multiple photos with comments to different accounts.

Visual communication

Share photos of warehouse conditions, products, or issues with your team. Photos help explain situations better than text alone.

Multiple photos

Add multiple photos to a single post. Build an album of related images before sending them all at once.

Account selection

Choose which account wall to post to: Warehouse or any customer account. This helps organize posts by customer or location.

Quick sharing

Take photos directly with your device camera or select from your gallery. Add comments and post in seconds.

  1. Open the main menu

    From the app’s home screen, tap the menu button to open the main menu.

  2. Select Wall

    In the main menu, find and tap Wall (ID 1). The Wall screen opens showing account selection, photo area, and comment field.

  3. Wait for accounts to load

    The app loads available accounts automatically. Wait a few seconds for the account list to appear in the dropdown at the top of the screen.

At the top of the screen, you’ll see a dropdown list of accounts. The list includes:

  • Warehouse: Post to the warehouse wall
  • Customer accounts: Post to specific customer account walls

Select an account from the dropdown before posting. The app shows the selected account ID when you choose one.

You can add photos in two ways:

Option 1: Camera

  • Tap the camera icon or the “Tap to add image” area
  • Choose Camera from the dialog
  • Take a photo with your device camera
  • The photo is automatically added to your album

Option 2: Gallery

  • Tap the camera icon or the “Tap to add image” area
  • Choose Gallery from the dialog
  • Select a photo from your device gallery
  • The photo is automatically added to your album

You can add multiple photos to create an album. All photos appear in a horizontal scrollable view below the account selector.

After adding photos, you can:

  • View photos: Scroll horizontally through your album to see all added photos
  • Delete photos: Long-press on any photo in the album to delete it
  • Confirm deletion: When you long-press a photo, a confirmation dialog appears asking “Are you sure?” Tap Yes to delete or No to cancel

Below the photo album, you’ll find a comment field with the hint “Typing a comment”. You can:

  • Type a comment to go with your photos
  • Comments are optional - you can post photos without comments
  • The comment applies to all photos in the post

When you’re ready to post:

  1. Make sure you’ve selected an account
  2. Add at least one photo (the Send button is disabled until you add a photo)
  3. Optionally add a comment
  4. Tap the Send button

A confirmation dialog appears asking “Post to [account name]?”. Tap Yes to confirm or Cancel to go back.

The app sends all photos and your comment to the selected account’s wall. You’ll see a progress dialog saying “Sending post…” while photos upload.

After posting successfully:

  • The comment field clears
  • The photo album disappears
  • The Send button is disabled again
  • You can start a new post

The Wall module needs camera and storage permissions to work:

  • Camera permission: Required to take photos
  • Storage permission: Required to access photos from your gallery

When you first open Wall, the app requests these permissions. If you deny them, you’ll see a message: “We need get permission to post picture on the wall”. Grant permissions to use the camera and gallery features.

The Wall screen includes:

  • Back button: Tap the back arrow (←) in the toolbar to return to the main menu
  • Hardware back button: Press the device’s back button to return to the main menu
  • Toolbar title: Shows “Wall” at the top of the screen

Add multiple photos

Take or select several related photos before posting. This creates a complete visual story in one post.

Use clear comments

Add descriptive comments to your photos. Explain what the photos show or why you’re posting them.

Select the right account

Choose the correct account before posting. This keeps posts organized and visible to the right team members.

Review before sending

Check your photo album and comment before tapping Send. You can delete unwanted photos by long-pressing them.

Problem: Photos don’t appear in the album after taking or selecting them.

Solution:

  • Make sure you granted camera and storage permissions
  • Try taking or selecting the photo again
  • Check that your device has enough storage space

Problem: The Send button stays grayed out and you can’t post.

Solution:

  • Make sure you’ve added at least one photo
  • Wait for the account list to finish loading
  • Try adding a photo again

Problem: The account dropdown is empty or shows an error.

Solution:

  • Check your internet connection
  • Wait a few seconds for accounts to load
  • Return to the main menu and open Wall again
  • Make sure you’re logged in with a valid account

Problem: You see a message about needing permissions.

Solution:

  • Go to your device Settings
  • Find App Permissions for Shipedge Warehouse Pro
  • Enable Camera and Storage permissions
  • Return to the Wall module
